Key to a Memorable Corporate Event or Christmas Party

We all know the feeling of having been to a corporate event or Christmas party and feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. The bland food, the boring decor, the lack of light can all be contributors to this feeling. Well, we at the Park Regis have the perfect tips to ensure your event is one to be remembered, for all the right reasons.

Location, Location, Location

Location is key. If it isn’t chosen carefully it can have the atmosphere of a WWII bunker that has everyone sweating after 15 minutes! Look for somewhere that lets in the light, is open and spacious. If you snap up somewhere with a view, then, you are also well on your way to setting the scene. Make sure you start on a positive note! Park Regis has the entire 15th floor catered to corporates, with stunning views in each room. Need something bigger? Setting the scene

Whether you are holding a meeting or having an end of year Christmas party, the scene is the next thing on your agenda. Make sure the room has the necessary amenities, such as a projector,  Wi-fi and screens. You can go above and beyond with letter-headed paper and pens. For dinner, look for areas that are customisable to your needs. Table centrepieces are sure to get noticed, but also decide if you want chair covers or room drapes to match. Many hotels, Park Regis included, offer packages that can take care of all this!

The Menu

Food and beverages can leave a lasting impression. When foods complement each other, and drinks complement those, shows that you have done your research. Consider how many courses you would like. If you want delicious dishes that may not entirely go together, consider palate cleansers, such as sorbets. If you’re not feeling adventurous, stick to the tried and tested traditional dishes like the typical roast. Park Regis has already planned a 5-course Christmas day lunch you could take advantage of!

Lastly, Entertainment

A good source of entertainment can give the event a buzz. But it really depends on who you are bringing along, so do your research! Are you more likely to want a DJ and dance-floor or would you prefer a string quartet? It’s a nice idea to provide more of a ‘show’ for Christmas parties. This could include a comedian, a magician to lighten the atmosphere, or an after-dinner casino with pretend money. You could even take a leaf out of our book, and give your event a theme.
