Educational fun at ThinkTank Birmingham Science Museum
Have little ones who are showing a growing interest in all things science? ThinkTank Birmingham Science Museum is absolutely perfect for them!
For February half-term, ThinkTank will be running their Electrifying Science Live event from Monday 16th – Friday 20th February 2026. Go along to experience buzzing experiments, spark-tastic science, and even a human circuit as you are invited to explore the wonders of electricity, from ancient discoveries to modern-day marvels. This family show is packed with live demonstrations and plenty of audience participation. Shows are at 12:00pm and 2pm on weekdays during February half term.
As well as this, ThinkTank offers 4 floors of exciting interactive exhibits which are suitable for all ages, as well as the outdoor Science Garden and 4k Planetarium, children can explore the child-size world of MiniBrum, which features Birmingham’s famous landmarks and play zones, space exploration, Birmingham’s industrial history, robots, and so much more!
Legoland Discovery Centre Birmingham – Nostalgic fun for all ages
A building-block world of creativity of fun for children, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre is perfect for children aged 3 to 10. Explore and play in MINILAND. Built with an impressive 1.5 million LEGO bricks, it showcases iconic landmarks here in Birmingham and beyond in the Midlands. Character Week at West Midlands Safari Park
Character Week is back at West Midlands Safari Park for February half-term! The very popular event is coming back for another year between 14th February – 22nd February 2026 where little ones will get to meet their favourite characters (please see below the full schedule), including PAW Patrol’s Chase, Peppa Pig, Bluey, Paddington, and making their first-time appearances: Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse and SpongeBob SquarePants!
These meet & greets come at no additional cost to your general admission ticket and you will also have the opportunity to take photos with them! February half-term also marks the daily reopening of the Park, including the Adventure Theme Park. Your general admission ticket takes you on a four-mile safari in your own car, a visit to the Discovery Trail, prehistoric exhibits, African village, sea lion shows and so much more!

Step Back in Time at the Black Country Living Museum
Looking for a bostin’ day out? Step back in time at the Black Country Living Museum!
For February half-term, they delving into the interesting history of health and medicine where the whole family will discover stories of coughs, cures, lotions and potions! Take a journey from the Victorian Times to the Swinging Sixties where you will meet historic characters and discover their challenges and unbelievable health regimes that belong in the past.
