The Lion King at Birmingham Hippodrome

Here in Birmingham for a limited season, Disney’s The Lion King has marked its territory at Birmingham Hippodrome for the Summer! Follow Simba’s journey to fulfil his destiny to be King of the Pridelands, in this theatrical phenomenon. Showing from 6th July – 16th September 2023, the show adapts the beloved soundtrack classics from the film. From the tear-jerking the ‘Circle of Life’ and ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’ to the uplifting ‘Hakuna Matata’ and ‘I Just Can’t Wait To Be King’, witness Birmingham Hippodrome erupt into the vibrant colour, music and sounds of African culture. The FRIENDS Experience – The One in Birmingham

Could we BE anymore excited about the Friends Experience being here in Birmingham?! From the 8th July – 3rd September 2023, explore the sets from the world’s favourite comedy series! Drop by Joey and Chandler’s apartment, Monica and Rachel’s apartment, where you can be pictured by the iconic purple door, and enjoy a cup of joe at Central Perk? Frolic by the iconic water fountain form the opening credits, lounge on the orange couch, recreate the famous “PIVOT!” scene down the staircase and browse the outfits and props from the show. Thinktank Science Museum

Located in Birmingham city centre and just a few minutes’ walk from Moor Street Station. Thinktank Birmingham Science Museum is an interactive four-floor science and discovery museum for children of all ages! Explore MiniBrum, which is a child-sized mini city, a 4K Planetarium where you can experience an immersive journey to the stars; learn about Birmingham’s industrial past via steam engines, trains, cars, and planes from time gone by. Birmingham’s very own little oasis offers plenty of outdoor activities to get the steps in and cheeks rosy from all the fresh air. Start off on the Boating Lake on a swan pedal boat where you can soak up the lovely sights of the park by water! Visit lots of different animals in the Nature Centre including reptiles, birds, monkeys, red pandas, and other furry favourites such as guinea pigs, goats, pigs and sheep. Specifically designed for children ranging the age of toddlers to 10 year olds, make sure to also visit the Fun Park which is packed with games, rides and activities.
