August 2018 Cricket Fixtures in Birmingham

Cricket

The 2018 cricket season is almost at an end. But it isn’t quite over yet! The Birmingham Bears have a few busy weeks ahead of them before the Vitality Blast Finals Day which will take place in Edgbaston Stadium. If you’re coming to Birmingham in August, there are plenty of matches for you to see. Luckily, Park Regis Birmingham is less than a 10-minute drive from Edgbaston.

Considered by many as one of the best cricket stadiums in the world, Edgbaston Stadium has a long and interesting history. So, before getting down to the fixtures, we thought we’d share some fun facts about this venue.

Edgbaston hosted its first match on 7th June 1886, after being transformed from a ‘meadow of rough grazing land’ into a cricket ground with a brand new pavilion. Since then, Edgbaston has evolved into a world-renowned stadium where historic matches have been played. Nowadays, any supporter of the local or national teams, will come across a loyal crowd.

Now, onto the matches themselves. We wish to make Park Regis guests’ lives easier, so, instead of making you hunt down cricket fixtures on the Internet, we’re providing the latest fixtures for Edgbaston.
